Agenda

Taking a regional expansion strategy anchored in the UAE/Dubai as its starting point, this seminar revisits Dubai's role as a hub connecting the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia, then compares key countries and cities across these regions — the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, India, Kazakhstan, South Africa, and others — against a common set of business, regulatory, and institutional criteria, examining the role of regional bases and the range of growth options systematically.

Questions such as "how should we design our regional headquarters and expansion structure" or "which markets should we prioritise for growth" rarely get revisited during business as usual. The first half of 2026 in the Middle East has created an occasion to break that inertia and ask these questions afresh. This seminar does not recommend expansion into, or relocation to, any specific country or city; rather, it provides a public-information-based overview of the functions of a regional expansion structure, target areas, and the key considerations for revisiting growth strategy.

  • Framing the regional expansion structure question, starting from the crisis in H1 2026
  • Three growth frontiers viewed from Dubai (Middle East, Africa, Central Asia)
  • Key perspectives for comparing candidate countries and cities
  • Placement and rollout patterns by function of a regional expansion structure
  • Next steps for consideration
  • Q&A
